We got up in good time this morning and were down for breakfast shortly after they opened so we could beat the crowd! While the buffet is large, there isn’t a ton of things that we are used to having for breakfast or even want to consider! However, we usually fill up on the fresh watermelon – it is awesome, very sweet and tasty!

We got back up to our room and boiled the kettle to make Gary a tea and Linda an instant coffee. The tea at the buffet is terrible think they have so many too many tea bags in it that are sitting far too long. Can’t say the tea bag in our room isn’t much better, have no idea where the tea is from it’s a name we’ve never seen before so the type or quality of tea may have something to do with it. The best coffee Linda has had on the trip was in Cambodia, they served a Vietnamese coffee that was really good and had a chocolate taste to it.

Our pool at Dayang Bay looking out into the bay from Langkawi Island, Malaysia along the Malacca Straight. This is the body of water between Malaysia and Indonesia directly South of Thailand and the Andaman Sea.

We are just catching up on emails and then will get ready and head down to the pool for a bit.

We spent most of the day at the pool and we had the whole place to ourselves except for one other person. For some reason a lot of people checked out today. Now it looks like another swarm is checking in. After 3pm we left the pool, showered and had a rest before packing up our bags. Today will be the last day of lounging for us until we are trying to shake off the ill effects of jet lag. Lucky that Family Day is Linda’s first day back to work. Yes, she will be at home!

Early tomorrow morning we fly to Kuala Lumpur. We should arrive at 10:05 which will give us some time to explore. Sounds like one of our travelling friends, Neil, will be in Kuala Lumpur as well so will have a quick visit with him. We head out early the next morning to Hong Kong, will overnight there and then start the journey home – Hong Kong – Japan – Calgary – Saskatoon. It will be a long 30 hours!! Not sure how time or Internet will permit future posts, we’ll see how things go. Looking forward to seeing everyone at home.

Linda, you should enlarge the above picture & put it in your office. This is such a beautiful, scenic & relaxing picture. Sponge ear plugs & a little fan to create white noise is what my hubby & I use to block out noise when we travel. Don’t know if that’d help the scrapping of a chair above the bed though!! Am so enjoying your blog!
