Jelly

January 19th Karon Beach

We got to Karon beach after lunch but were disappointed to find so many jelly fish in the water.  It made cooling off in the ocean a bit risky.  Linda has just barely recovered from some stings she got right after arriving in Phuket January 13th.  Gary took his GoPro into the water to film these beautiful but nasty creatures.

Today, January 20th we did our good byes to all of our Rawai acquaintances.  First at  Herb Massage, second at Smile Restaurant. We have no plans to come back here on this trip.  Our plan is to spend 5 weeks in Koh Lanta.  That leaves a month unplanned.

Maybe we’ll go to Adang Resort near Koh Lipe for a week, we have not decided.

We turned in our rental car this evening (Thursday). Tomorrow Friday January 21st we are moving to Koh Lanta.

We get picked up by taxi at 7:15 am, our boat leaves at 8:30 am. The actual boat portion of the trip is about 90 minutes.  The taxi and speedboat transfer cost was ฿3600 around $140 CAD for both of us.  That’s about the same price we paid to fly from Bangkok to Phuket which is also about an hour and a half trip.
