About Gary & Linda
Welcome to Gary and Linda’s blog. My wife Linda and I love to travel and explore new places together.
We live in Saskatchewan, Canada where I farmed for my whole life along with a short career in computer programming and graphics, as well as working in Western Canada’s oil patch during the winter months. Linda had a 30 year long career with our provincial government owned natural gas utility, all while we raised two great kids. We both recently retired and are looking forward to new adventures.
I was a Ham radio enthusiast for a number of years which fuelled my interest in technology. In my spare time you’ll find me playing around on Mac computers, automating our house or installing monitoring cameras. My kids call me Mr. Gadget. I brought most of my tools with me to Saskatoon when we relocated in June of 2018.
Linda enjoys quilting, reading, crafting and sandblasting in her spare time. Linda has made everything from King size quilts to personalized engraved coffee mugs. She uses customized computer generated graphics and applies them to stainless steel coffee mugs, wine glasses or just about anything you could imagine. Sandblasting the item permanently etches the design into the article. Linda also makes professional looking T-shirts with customized designs. I provide any tech support required, after all the air compressor and sandblaster are in my man-cave aka. shop attached to our house.
Together, we enjoy researching, planning and booking our trips. Our blog helps keep friends and family updated on our travels. If you stumble onto this blog we hope you can get some value from the untold hours of research we put into making our travel plans a reality.
